Hi.

Welcome to my reviews.  Enjoy, take some time to discover a new book!  Happy reading!

At the Rescue Cat Cafe

At the Rescue Cat Cafe

At The Rescue Cat Cafe by Anna Humphrey and Kari Rust is the sweetest little story about finding a furever home.

There are lots of things to see at the Rescue Cat Cafe. Many people come and go and many cats too. The humans find their exact right cat and the cats find their exact right humans but you don’t really ever see Mouse.

This is a book for cat lovers! It's the most lovely story of people finding their perfect pet and the pets finding their perfect humans. Anna Humphrey’s love for cats exudes from each line of the story. Her love for cats and those who rescue them is very evident and this story may encourage many readers to start asking for furry friends of their own.

For our family, we attended the book launch for this wonderful story five days before we were going to a rescue shelter to bring home our own new furry friends Smorgasbord and Peanut the cats. For us it is a timely tale and truly captures all the sights and sounds and feelings that we experienced every time we went to the North Toronto Cat Rescue to visit with our new friends.

I love how there is a little scavenger hunt built into the story as readers have the opportunity to look for Mouse the cat while reading through. It’s also a lovely story to read when you are beginning to learn the days of the week.

Kari Rust’s illustrations are divine. Full of love and whimsy, readers will fall in love with all of the cats at the Rescue Cat Cafe, enjoy trying to spot Mouse on each page and be begging to visit a cat rescue to find the exact perfect friend for themselves.
