I love how Mitali Banerjee Ruths takes what is a love of animals and shares that with readers in a unique way. This book is really appealing to younger readers who are looking for something a little different than a picture book. The language is simple and the text very easy to read.

I also love the back matter in the book as Mitali Banerjee Ruths provide readers with fun facts about the gut and there is also a drawing tutorial to make a fun “I Am Brave” badge! 

Francesca Mahaney’s illustrations suit the story perfectly. They have a cartoon vibe that will appeal to readers, especially those who are fans of The Wild Kratts or The Octonauts.
