Here Are The Seeds

Here Are The Seeds

A circular story about how nature works in concert, Here are the Seeds by JaNay Brown-Wood and Olivia Amoah is a perfect springtime story.

Throughout the story, children are planting seeds and problem solving in their garden to ensure that the seeds thrive so that delicious goodies follow.

JaNay Brown-Wood has developed a beautiful circular narrative non-fiction story about nature, gardens and seeds. With repeating text throughout, she creates a participatory narrative that will make this book a hit especially in early years classrooms. The different scenarios punctuated by a big “OH NO!” allows young readers to help in the telling of the tale, building their early literacy skills and making for a really fun and engaging read aloud.

Olivia Amoah’s illustrations are big and bold just like the text. She fills the pages with comforting and reviving illustrations of nature and life in the garden making for a fun opportunity for readers to seek and find all of the hidden delights throughout the book and making it a story that readers will want to revisit frequently.
