Jami Gigot has channeled her inner Melanie Watt to bring readers a very funny book featuring the mysterious Bigfoot. With helpful guidelines for readers and illustrations that feature the complete opposite of the guidelines, young campers will be asking for this story all summer long.

I love how Jami Gigot doesn’t shy away from good old bathroom humour to hook readers. Farts and pee will always play to the early reading crowd. 

This book feels like it takes inspiration from the Scaredy Squirrel series but finds it’s own way into the hearts of readers. Featuring a mythical creature and some scouting children, I love the way that the story weaves in some comic moments along with the prose to create a dynamic reading experience for readers and makes it interesting to a larger age group of readers.

The illustrations are funny and warm. Jami Gigot perfectly captures summer at scout camp and ensures that the illustrations are realistic along with being fun and colourful.
