So Fancy!

Jess Keating can do it all! Not only is she the master at writing incredibly engaging non-fiction books about animals and female scientists, she has an adventurous middle grade mystery series and now she has gifted readers with an adorable new graphic story featuring best buddies: BunBun and BonBon: Fancy Friends.

Jess Keating has created the cutest little buddies who love being fancy together. The writing is silly and really accessible to readers of all levels. It’s a story that can be read on your own or with a buddy! Plus isn’t BunBun just the most adorable little bunny?

We are huge fans of books like BunBun and BonBon. The Bear and The Bee have really enjoyed the Narwhal and Jelly series by Ben Clanton so it’s awesome to now have some Canadian content similar to their favourite. I have found there is a real lack of great middle grade content created by Canadians. Slowly this is changing thanks to Jess Keating and other fantastic authors. We try our best to support Canadian creators by purchasing their books and it’s been tough finding really engaging graphic content written by Canadian authors for middle grade readers. Also, just announced the next book in the BunBun and BonBon family coming January 5th, 2021: Hoppy Go Lucky! We can’t wait!
