Hi.

Welcome to my reviews.  Enjoy, take some time to discover a new book!  Happy reading!

Winter Seek and Find

Winter Seek and Find

You can always count on Marie-Louise Gay to give you a story that feels like home. In her new story The Three Brothers, we meet Finn, Leo and Ooley, three brothers with a thirst for adventure. One morning they head out into the forest to search for wild animals. Unfortunately, they really can’t find any which leads to a discussion about why that might be. There is a sweet little twist at the end and a gentle reminder about what is happening to the planet to cause the animals to go away.

This book took me right back to my childhood, spending long winter days outside exploring in the forest, looking for wild things and leaving behind little notes to let people know we had been there. It’s a perfect cozy up, winter time, hot chocolate book that will make your young readers ask questions about the animals and about the planet. It will also remind us about the wonderful things our grandparents can teach us about the “good old days”.

The illustrations are full of surprises and inspiration. It’s a fun book to read together multiple times as you and your young reader(s) will be able to discover something new hidden in the forest each time.
