Hi.

Welcome to my reviews.  Enjoy, take some time to discover a new book!  Happy reading!

Bunny Loves Beans

Bunny Loves Beans

Jane Whittingham’s sweet new story Bunny Loves Beans is a perfect introduction to eating the rainbow.

In this very adorable Toddler Tough book, each two page spread is dedicated to a different animal, colour and fruit or vegetable encouraging young readers to try a variety of different plants just like their favourite friends in the animal kingdom.

The Toddler Tough series of books by Pajama Press Inc are so incredible. Of course they are tough, perfect for book rippers and eaters, but they are also much bigger than the traditional board book making them incredibly shareable as well. For toddler and preschool educators and parents, these books are the best to add to the storytime rotation.

I love that Jane Whittingham chooses to illustrate her books with photographs. Since our youngest readers are very literal, having actual pictures of real faces and animals help them make connections to what they are encountering in their daily lives. Also, the photos are crisp, colourful, vibrant and highly engaging making for a perfect storybook recipe.

Finally, this story has some amazing backmatter for parents and educators to help stretch the concepts in the story and ask leading questions to help readers work their comprehension muscles.
