Hi.

Welcome to my reviews.  Enjoy, take some time to discover a new book!  Happy reading!

Look Up High! Things That Fly!

Look Up High! Things That Fly!

A Toddler Tough book all about looking up and seeing the things that fly in the sky, Look Up High! Things That Fly! By Victoria Allenby is a fantastic book for both parents and educators.

Throughout the book, readers are encouraged to look up to the sky to see some of the things that fly. With a spotlight on prepositions, readers also learn about direction words.

Pajama Press Inc does an impeccable job of publishing books for the preschool set that include photos instead of illustrations as well as guides at the back to help parents and educators use the book in teachable ways. Big vehicles are always a fascination for the youngest readers. In daycare classrooms all over the world you will find little readers immersed in playing with cares, planes, helicopter, construction vehicles, etc. This book captures that interest and also takes the opportunity to focus on preposition words: where things are in relation to something else.

Not only can readers enjoy the beautiful photos but they can also read the story along with their adult thanks to Victoria Allenby’s repeating and rhythmic text. This is a book that can easily be used at a circle time or during music time.

I love the design of the book because it is big enough to share as a read aloud but tough enough to stand up to even the most hungry readers. It’s a book not only for quiet time but also for gross motor time, the uses are endless.
