Nurturing Life Lessons

The newest offerings in a series of books by authorstrator Hilary Leung are two adorable little books featuring cute little animals in very common situations.  

Will Sheep Sleep? Follows Sheep as he gets ready to head to bed.  He’s trying to find ways to help him get to sleep. Will Bear Share? Is about Bear as she explores her house and the things she is willing to share with her friends.  With cute little friends Crocodile, Ladybug, Giraffe, and Frog you can be sure each of these adorable creatures will have their own little tale.

Featuring a question and answer format, Hilary Leung keeps the reader guessing what bear and/or sheep will do given a certain scenario.  They make for excellent interactive read alouds, I just wish they came in a bigger format. They are so perfect for the early years programs. Preschoolers and kindergarteners will especially LOVE these books. My seven year old dogs them too! They have great little life lessons wrapped up in very sweet little stories.  With eye popping, vibrant illustrations there are a lot of little details to make you laugh and make you think. Even the barcode has a sweet little design. As parents, grandparents, teachers, anyone with children in their life, we are always looking for ways to communicate these life lessons in a caring and nurturing way. Hilary Leung has given us a beautiful way to do so; straightforward with a little bit of humour and a whole lot of love. I am eager to see some bigger formats great for daycares, preschools, and schools.
