Turn the Bedtime Routine on it’s Head

Turn the Bedtime Routine on it’s Head

Time for an interesting new story that is very meta. Monica Arnaldo puts her clever spin on a bed time story by giving young readers a story from the bed’s perspective!

A bed is a pretty special place for a child. Not only is it a place to sleep but it’s a reading nook, a trampoline, a boat and a treasure chest. Maybe you don’t want to go to sleep or clean your room but have you ever throught about how bed feels about the messy blankets, the hidden under bed surprises, the kicking and the jumping. Bed urges the reader to think about things from it’s point of view.

Time for Bed’s Story is such a great story to use to talk about point of view, seeing things from a different angle or perspective.

The illustrations are inviting and bold. Bed is so expressive and Monica Arnaldo really captures all the happenings in a child’s sanctuary.
